Oasis Fresh Market brings groceries back to downtown Tulsa
After more than a decade without a full-service grocery downtown, Oasis is soft-opening at the ARCO building — with regular hours starting Sept. 28.
Downtown Tulsa has a grocery store again.
Oasis Fresh Market began a soft opening Monday, Sept. 21, at 119 E. Sixth Street, Suite 100, on the ground floor of the ARCO apartments near Sixth and Cincinnati. The company says downtown went more than ten years without a full-service grocery after Folks Urban Market closed in 2014.
Founder and owner AJ Johnson frames the downtown store as an extension of Oasis’s work in north and south Tulsa — produce, meat, and prepared food for people who live, work, or pass through the core. The prepared side includes salads, sushi, hot entrées, pizza, and coffee; delivery via Instacart and Uber Eats is planned.
Hours are limited while the team dials in operations: 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday–Thursday (Sept. 21–24), lunch-only 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, then closed for the weekend. Regular hours start Monday, Sept. 28, 6 a.m.–9 p.m. daily. A ribbon-cutting is set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30.
