Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings opens in south Tulsa
Colorado-based Nana’s opened its first Oklahoma shop in mid-August at The Vineyard on Memorial, with dim sum, dumplings, and a glass-walled prep station.
South Tulsa has another place for dumplings.
Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings opened in mid-August at 7890 E. 106th Place S., Suite 14, in The Vineyard on Memorial. According to a Sept. 23 Tulsa Flyer story by Tim Landes, it is the ninth Nana’s and the company’s first restaurant in Oklahoma. Founders Jack and Kelly Liu opened the first shop in Denver in 2003. The Colorado-based company also has other Colorado locations and a restaurant in Scarsdale, New York.
The menu covers dim sum, dumplings, buns, fried rice, and lo mein. Dessert buns shaped like a panda and a corgi have been popular enough to sell out at times, the Flyer reports. A glass-enclosed work area sits between the two sides of the dining room, where guests can watch cooks make dumplings and noodles. The bar is on the south side.
Employees told the Flyer that, since opening, waits have run from a few minutes to about an hour.
Hours, per the Flyer: Monday–Thursday, 11 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 5–9 p.m.; Friday–Saturday, 11 a.m.–10 p.m.; Sunday, 11:30 a.m.–8 p.m.
