C’est Bon Kitchen leaving north Peoria — relocating, not closing
Chef David Franklin’s Cajun and Creole spot ends service at The Shoppes on Peoria on Sept. 30 and plans a new Tulsa address — with a possible pop-up in between.
C’est Bon Kitchen & Libations is leaving The Shoppes on Peoria — and the owner says Tulsa isn’t losing the restaurant for good.
Chef David Franklin, who grew up in New Orleans, told The Oklahoma Eagle he’s closing the north Tulsa dining room after recurring problems at the site, including landlord issues. Last day of service: Tuesday, Sept. 30. The address is 1717 N. Peoria Avenue, Suite 7.
Franklin opened in July 2025 and built a following for Cajun and Creole plates in a part of town with few sit-down options. After the Facebook announcement, he said the inbox filled with one question: where’s the new location?
He hasn’t named the next address yet. Depending on how long the search takes, he may run a pop-up before a permanent room. His line to guests: C’est Bon will stay in Tulsa and keep the New Orleans-style cooking people showed up for.
Until Sept. 30, north Peoria still has a last chance to go in person. After that, watch for pop-up dates — and treat any “permanently closed” rumor as premature until Franklin says otherwise.
